SMART BLADE CASING BRUSH

about-us

Features

    • SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush have solid and robust Brush sleeves assembly and centralizers to give better cutting travel path as well as annular velocity.
    • SMART BLADE™ Non-rotating Casing Brush design with high performance alloy bearings compatible with high temperature and chemical applications.
    • Rotating mandrel with Non- rotating Casing brush sleeve and centralizers. Available with all API connections and upon request premium drill pipe connections also available.

Description

The SMART BLADE™ Non-Rotating Casing Brush is a heavy-duty wellbore clean out tool suitable for all downhole conditions including HPHT and Extended Reach wells. Tool designed for the removal of mud, cement, bullets, rust, scale, paraffin, perforation burrs and other obstruction from casing and Liner wellbore through rotation and reciprocation. Future wellbore operation clean the casing ID is important. SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush can run separately or as part of a comprehensive wellbore clean-out assembly. SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush designed with long and tapered edge blades for passing through joints without getting held up while vertical or rotational operations. Additional full circle blades are spaced to contact 2 x 360 degree, almost two complete circle, which same pattern of non-rotating Casing Brush not available in the market. The alloy bearings feature is very rigid for both axial and radial elements to allow extended rotation in harsh environments preventing tool and casing wear.

Tool Operations

The SMART BLADE™ Casing brush usually run with pin down, it can be run alone or as part of a comprehensive wellbore clean out or drilling BHA. Each Brush sleeve configuration overlapped by the row on the bottom. Advisable to run along with SMART BLADE™ Scraper Mill is the first tool above the bit in ahead of SMART BLADE™ Casing brush, SMART MAG™ Rotating /Non-rotating magnet or any other wellbore clean out tools in the BHA. Non-rotating Casing Brush made up on the string and running in hole for cleaning operation, start rotating or spudding as desired. Recommend placing SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush above the SMART BLADE™ Scraper Mill, in case running in hole alone with Casing Brush advisable to place 1 full joint above the bit. While drilling and scraping/cleaning combined operation pick up the string frequently and keep off bottom to circulate the well clean and clear the cuttings debris from wellbore. Deviated well recommend to reciprocating the string minimum one joint intermediately and maintain minimum 135-150 FT/Min Annular velocity. Mitigate to the risk 4½” – 5½” SMART BLADE™ Casing brush while drilling not advisable, contingency plan just for short length of cement plug

Benefits

    • SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush assly mitigates risk for completions operations.
    • Smoothen the casing wall prior to running in hole with completion assembly.
    • Eliminate held up or premature packer setting while RIH.
    • Casing Brush block and springs are secured in the housing, accidental loss in downhole is virtually impossible.
    • Non-rotating centralizer sleeves will avoid wear of casing and bristle damages

Plan and Delivery

    • SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush selection by casing/liner sizes, ID and drift dia from the technical data sheet. Always customer data to be cross checked and verified prior to load out.
    • While dispatch the tool inspection report and operation manual to be send along with the tool.
    • Ensure centralizer OD Brush block range suitable with casing/liner technical specifications. Prior to load out the tool collect all the information about the operation

Maintanence and Handling

    • Good Maintenance will prolong the life of the tools each runs tools must disassembled and inspect as per SMART BLADE™ Casing Brush Service Manual.
    • After POOH from wellbore install thread protectors and keep the tool in to tool cage, make sure scraper bristle area not to touch on the ground.

Application

    • Clean and smoothen the Wellbore and provide drifted ID without any debris or restrictions.
    • Drilling, Workover, side-tracking and abandonment operations
    • Remove scales from wellbore.
    • Combination run with any scraper while drilling
